Rendered in a deep navy plain velvet, it carries the low, discreet sheen typical of the fabric — enough to catch light without turning the piece dressy or costume-like. The velvet itself, woven from cotton with a touch of elastane, has real weight in the hand: dense, slightly nappy to the touch, with just enough stretch worked into the base to let the jacket move with the body rather than against it.
