Anil Jacket is a feminine, loose-fitted style made from soft cotton corduroy. It features a softly shaped neckline and a front placket with buttons and elastic loop closures. The jacket is lined with a beautiful screen print that adds an element of surprise to the inside. Delicate bindings highlight the softly rounded shapes of the silhouette. As a decorative detail, the jacket is adorned with a stunning artwork of birds and a growing heart, created using intricate Suzani embroidery.

This Suzani embroidered item is decorated with the manually controlled chain stitch technique of Suzani embroidery. Our Suzani embroidery is made by Indian artisans, mostly using the tambour to create a unique and vivid Suzani embroidery pattern. The name Suzani comes from the Persian word su-zan, meaning needle. The Indian artisans use a hooked needle instrument called a tambour to create the intricate chain stitching that is the hallmark of Suzani embroidery. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, and due to the manually controlled nature of Suzani embroidery, you may notice little variations from one garment to another that add to the unique charm of a Suzani decorated item.
